Hi Mary Catherine and all. I don't know if you remember me/us, but I just got back to my blog (multiple) and discovered you'd made a comment in it back in January and it is now July. I'm terribly sorry I didn't see it at the time. I don't get many comments so I don't tend to look for them, and then our blogging went through a move and then into a quilting project. We still can't do church but we've joined in the last several months a group of people who quilt for Lutheran World Relief. These organizations are throughout the country.
I couldn't help but admire your work on the first quilt. It is MAJOR! You seem to have an artistic/writing bent which seems in stride with being a multiple. I LOVE it! If you ever have questions about things - especially quilting or multiplicity, please do not hesitate to contact me/us. Our email is Aynetal3@aol.com. I'm speedier at getting back to emails. I also have Facebook - if you are doing that ... please look me up and friend me if you are interested. I try to write something or picture something every day or two. My contact name is Ann Ludford Garvey. I say this especially because we take pictures of all the quilts we do and there is many. I wish I'd started back at your age, but in reality, I was almost 50 when I started - just loving that I did!
I really want to encourage you to come back and continue the blogging as the time becomes available AND I know that's the hardest commodity. It has the most amazing rewards. In general we've been blogging for about 10 years and we made the first year into a book called, "Ann's multiple world of personality" (Amazon-Kindle). I have read your blog and am interested in hearing your progress. I'm also not always good at getting everything I want to do in there, but it is an excellent way to keep yourself company and set-up communication with the alters. And, when we write a specifically good entry, we have it to share with our T-Doc. And, KEEP READING blogs! It's a good way to realize that there are others out there similar/like you and you can find support between the words and realizations that bad things happen to good people. You didn't deserve the abuse, you ARE entitled to a life worth everything you can give to it.
Hi Mary Catherine, Hope you are well. Did anyone ever tell you about the idea that DID is sometimes an iatrogenic effect of bad therapy, and did they ever tell you about retractors' stories? http://www.fmsfonline.org/retract1.html
